… A cyclist does not have to be registered for the charity ride to participate in this meet-up group and any of the training rides; it is about getting on the bike and gaining health and fitness through cycling, and it is a way to socialize and make friends while gaining bike skills. The official ADA-sponsored Tour de Cure training rides are every Saturday starting the first Saturday in March until the next-to-last Saturday of July. We also ride in the Monster Cookie Metric, the Ride Around Clar …
Interested in cycling, but not sure where to start? Or are you tired of going on rides by yourself? Are you intimidated by the Lance Armstrong wannabes that are smoking past you with those tight black bottom spandex and thick calf muscles? Well have we got the group for you! If you are new to cycling or if you are a veteran of cycling we invite you to gather for weekend ride/course planning, gear talk, training tips, social outings, etc.! Our purpose is to gear up, get on, get out, and get going …
… Adressing rapid cycling and mixed states is important. Bipolar takes on many forms and expresses itself differently in each individual.
We started as a running group and are evolving into more, including swimming, cycling, multipsport events like triathlon and duathlon, and other activities such as hiking and winter sports. The group is completely free and open to everyone. All members are invited to add to our calendar and host meetups. We need and appreciate all the help we can get. This group is a tool for everyone to use. Welcome, and make yourself at home. Steve
We are an enthusiastic group of bicycle riders just Out Spoke'n with a wide range of bikers with varied riding experience and abilities. We welcome all bicyclists - beginners to maniacs; from short haul, enjoy-the-scenery folks to get-me-up-that-hill-fast animals. C'mon in. You will find us welcoming and fun.
We're an easy going group of co-ed cyclists, beginning to intermediate level, riding in the Willamette Valley, South Portland and surrounding rural areas. We average 12-15 MPH during our rides. No one gets left behind! Rides are 20+ miles in distance, and We are open to doing other activities including short hikes and kayaking. If you have an idea for ride tour or activity, we want to hear it (especially if it involves a bottle of wine and good food at the end!) Wine, but no whining!

I wanted to start up a leisurely bike riding group, around 10-12 mph pace that starts in the mid-afternoon, for those who aren't early risers. Helments are opptional; I don't wear one. All rides will start and finish on Portland's eastside. This is not a gung-ho riding group like the Wheelmen. You can show up in jeans and a t-shirt and you will fit right in! I do not consider myself the 'leader' per se; just an organizer. Group input is welcome too; to suggest an area that you would like to ride …

Welcome to our tribe! We are a range of riders from first treads to hammerheads, and from kids to those who will never grow up. We believe that all trails in life should flow, roots and boulders add character to the ride, every journey could be an epic one, and a little sweat on the ascent will blow off as the rubber takes flight from the dirt. Just follow the safety rules, be courteous, show up for rides you responded "yes" to, and have fun.

… The intensity of the pace generally makes long dives impractical, so the most effective strategies generally involve short, explosive efforts, precision teamwork and timing, and rapid cycling of all 10 players through the 6 active positions. There are no goal-keepers or off-sides rules, and goals are often scored on exciting, break-away plays or well-timed 2-against-1 or 3-against-2 attacks. And now, there is an underwater hockey club in the Portland Area, join us! WHERE? The practices are h …

Meet professional skills coach and pro racer Gene Hamilton and other local mountain bikers to discuss and learn mountain biking skills. Riding a bike is easy. Riding over off-camber roots and rocks and cornering with confidence is more difficult. Whether you have been riding for twenty years, race professionally or just started riding there is a lot to learn as the correct techniques are not intuitive. That is why Gene has created a better way to learn the core skills of mountain biking. For ov …

Most of my life I have struggled with low self-esteem and not feeling valuable or worthy of most things in life. I had dreams, but I would self-sabotage them because I felt I didn't deserve them. I had trouble making friends because I felt like people really didn't like me. I was tired of feeling this way and a little over 4 years ago I started on a journey that has changed my life. I have met a lot of great people who have helped me in many ways, and I have made a lot of great friends - by look …
