This is a social cycling type meetup. The meetups could vary from Bronx River Parkway Bike Summer Sundays to just cycling around at a moderate pace while getting some exercise. We'll throw some trail biking in the mix depending on the mood. Ending a ride with a cup of coffee at some local coffee shop or a brunch would be nice too!
UWS Cycle Mommaz is for moms who want to get out and bicycle responsibly during the day while the kids are at school/daycare! The best fit for this group are those who wish to meet other moms who like the idea of making their workout a ride around town. And yes, there is a latte stop before we have to head back to reality! The only requirements -- other than having kids -- is wearing a helmet and riding a bike in good working condition!
Meetup details are available only to members.

We also hike, climb, backpack, camp, and enjoy water and winter sports with equal enthusiasm and vigor. If you happen to love to do all these things, you hav …

There's a bunch of adventure groups out there, and they all look pretty solid. But NYC Backwoods Adventurers is going to run things a bit differently. Sure we'll escape the city for hiking, climbing, rafting, cycling, paddling, beer drinking around a bonfire, cabin laziness, and general shenanigans. But we're also looking to bring the backwoods into the city....think gear swaps, adventure documentary screenings, meetups with professional adventurers, pub crawls, and all manner of enjoyable times …

I started this group for the more leisurely paced rider who enjoys riding slower like I do, but who enjoys exploring in and around NYC for day-long adventures. A typical ride would start at 11am and include about 5 hours of riding plus a few hours of stopping to relax or eat, the riding would be at about an average comfortable 7-8 mph pace - this is in contrast to many other groups that expect a 12 mph minimum pace. Let's just relax and enjoy it! A ride would include stopping to eat mid-way or …
