Welcome to Social Cycling Sydney! We're a private, non-profit cycling group based in Sydney. Since 2007 we've organized hundreds of fun, social rides. We focus on weekend rides, typically a day trip in greater Sydney (ie somewhere between Gosford down to Wollongong and across to the far side of the Blue Mountains). We've done a few touring rides spanning two or three days and hope to do more. We do sometimes ride during the week after work (6pm starts). You will probably be in the 20s to 40s age …
A group for women who are interesting in regular cycling sessions, whether its for improving your fitness, the mandatory coffee post-ride or other social get togethers.... There are plenty of different locations around Sydney we can try - depending on popularity etc. And let's not forget that we can organise teams to participate in charity rides etc! A typical bike hash involves one or two members (hares) leaving from a pre-arranged starting point and marking a trail using chalk arrows through cycle ways, roads and trails for the 'pack' to follow on their bicycles before they reach the ending spot, where the beer and drinks are!
